Nominate a new teacher!


Do you know a first year World Language teacher or professor? Submit their name so they can receive a FREE care package at the end of the 1st  nine weeks.

AWLEF/AATSP along with their new partnership with ICTFL in 2023 would like to provide support for new (first year) World Language teachers.

If you know of any new world language teachers or professors, please complete this form so that they  can welcome them and let them know that resources and support are available during the school year. They will send a welcome box filled with goodies and supplies along with information about AWLEF/ICTFL and their affiliate organizations and programs.

           Fiesta Bham              September 28, 2024

Fiesta, Inc. is a 501c3 organization that seeks “to educate the mainstream public about the many different Hispanic countries and cultures through the best of art, music, dance, and food.” Part of Fiesta’s goal as a festival and as an organization has always been to provide Hispanic students with scholarships to help them further their education in Alabama.  


Language Connects Foundation will begin accepting new applications in Spring 2024 for the Lead with  Languages Teacher Scholarship Program.

Entering its sixth year, this program provides merit-based scholarships to graduating high school seniors committed to pursuing the language teaching profession in languages other than English. Scholars are awarded $1,500 per academic year (renewable up to $6,000 per recipient). Explore the program!
